hey -
it’s been such a busy week! at least the mass i lead at yankee stadium this morning is over with, and now seems like a good time to do the big ole update thing. we’ve been pretty busy on both coasts, so while audioblog activity might have temporarily slowed, there’s good reasoning…

Sheep Shoes!!! what’s that? well, it’s the first physical proyekto release. the compilation record will put together some of our favorite work we’ve been doing in a mastered vinyl format. mastering is slated to begin in may, so more details will be forthcoming. awesome!

1214 Proyekto is in the very final stages. the submissions are set and wonderful. the ambient soundtrack is mind-melting. the layout process is a tad painful, but i’m almost done and will have form to make things go more quickly next time. the print edition will be available in nyc, san francisco, tucson, etc. and you can order one from this site, too. the internet edition will go up shortly after.

brando skirts has a new full-length album in the works! yes! true! mike and i will be recording this summer in sunny(?) brooklyn, ny and are hoping to finish post-production in san francisco towards the end of the year. we’ll be posting demos, works in progress and all that fun, transparent stuff as we go.

sndrft is keeping it real on the audioblog but also has a full-length on the way later this year. i’m sure he is reinventing something or other, so this is not to be missed.

we’re really ecstatic to announce a release later this year by the first “outside proyekto” artist on the roster. evolving pink is the debut mini-album by proyekto bff Jason Worrell. it features tons of haze, neuroscience lectures and an epic tribute to one of the greatest animals to ever live.

finally, i have a new project that’s been hinted at for awhile, and is now about to explode. we’re still deciding on a final name for everything, but either way, expect shows in the city and brooklyn starting in late May. we already have stuff in the works with all the mainstays out here , so you’ll be sure to see some frequent live activity on our parts.
