nyc crew -

i’ll be playing in the full brando skirts lineup with mike jacobs on new year’s eve. show starts at 10pm sharp (we want to go out, too!) and takes place at pete’s candy store (709 lorimer in brooklyn). 

i love the misspelled name on the flyer. that means i will make double the rape jokes this time.

i was looking at photos from the recent series of riots in greece, and came across this stealth protester that looks exactly like jacobs as a revolutionary.

calling t-town residents! 

i’ll be playing a show on friday night (12/19) with anthony sanchez on drums and other noise making devices. this promises to be a show filled with holiday cheer and many inappropriate covers. come on down to red room @ grill and have a hennessy with us.

hey all nyc folk - 

come down to cakeshop for a late night set by myself and luke koz. this should be a tad stranger than usual as we’ll be performing in the afterworlds chamber with crazy visuals and a lack of amenities that seem so exciting we’ll have to innovate. there will be some folky stuff, some electronic stuff and i might even run my own brainwaves through an amplifier (to kill time).

edit: brandon kreitler (brando and tucson alum) will be on guitar at the end of the set, too. it’s a christmas miracle!

i just published a piece in time out new york on mark borthwick - one of my absolute favorite photographers. you can read it here.

this will be the first of a series of pieces for TONY using this format. call it a column if you will… i also plan to post the transcript on here a couple weeks after the issue is off newsstands. we got into some truly amazing abstract conversation that doesn’t really work well in a mass market magazine. oh, and if you are in new york i highly recommend picking up the print version. david rosenzweig did a fantastic job with the photography for the article.

this is actually a solo show, but hopefully there will be a “real” one with mike in early january.
